Intro: Full of merit, yet poetically, man Dwells on this earth——Friedrich Hölderlin Art is a form of poetic expression for me. The American artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres placed a pile of candies of his lover's weight in a corner in his work "Untitled". The audience could pick candies up and take them away, or unwrap a candy and eat it. That the candy melts in the mouth symbolizes the death of his lover or the elapse of their love. This work is one of my favorites, simple in form while full of emotions. The seemingly ordinary objects would be connected through the new combination by artists. Objects are not only something impersonal, but also events that stir the hearts of watchers, endowing people with the power to resist the nihility of existence. This is exactly the artwork I want to make, and is also why I want to be an artist.
