Intro： "Cifang Yu Er" is our first work combining live‑action filming with AI, and it is also a rethinking of traditional filmmaking workflows. The team insists on using real locations, real actors, and real light and shadow to build the emotional foundation of the film. At the same time, we employ AIGC technologies in specific applications—such as constructing surreal environments, stylised image rendering, and visual effects compositing—so that imagination is no longer constrained by budget or the laws of physics. The two sets of footage are seamlessly integrated in post‑production: AI‑generated effects automatically match the motion trajectories of the live‑action camera, making it impossible for the audience to distinguish where the live‑action ends and where the generation begins. This is not a show of technical prowess, but a new grammar of storytelling. We believe that filmmakers of the future will no longer have to choose between live‑action and AI; instead, they will use both as tools for telling stories, just as they use montage.
