Intro: Maarten van der Glas is a multimedia artist working on the crossroads of art and technology. He has worked as a VJ with his custom written VJ software, he has made installations for musea and performed with his own software with contemporary dance companies. His latest installation is Digital Graffiti 2.0 With this installation very realistic paint art can be made with a physicla spray can. Digital Graffiti combines the hands-on experience of street art with advanced tracking and projection technology. Our system renders realistic paint in real time, complete with drips, color blending, and texture. Visitors don't just observe graffiti culture—they participate in it. Version 2.0 brings capabilities we believe would be particularly relevant for a museum setting: canvas sizes up to 10 meters for large-scale installations, multiple users painting simultaneously with independent spray cans, projection onto any surface including 3D objects like cars or sculptures.
