Intro: We are a team from the USC-SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry, consisting of six members: Ye Kangning, Li Xinxiao, Zhang Pengfan, Zhao Xuanxuan, Lei Silin and Zong Minghan. Our supervisor is Professor Ni Bingbing from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. All team members major in Digital Cultural Creativity and Management. For this creation, we divided work across digitalization of intangible cultural heritage, interactive design, visual rendering, web development, AR presentation and project planning. Leveraging our respective technical expertise and creative strengths, we jointly completed the work Shadows Turn to Lanterns: An Interactive Experience of Shunde Daliang Fish Lanterns. By means of digital interaction, this project transforms Daliang Fish Lanterns, a traditional folk craft from Shunde, into an immersive participatory experience. Through the full journey of catching fish shadows, learning craftsmanship, creating lanterns, joining the lantern group and releasing lanterns onto water via AR, audiences can truly feel the vitality of Lingnan water town culture and this intangible cultural heritage.
