Intro: Our team is composed of cross-disciplinary students from the School of Experimental Art, School of Film and Animation, and School of Art Education at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. The core group consists of five members, covering four major fields: Visual Communication Design, Digital Media Technology, Techno-Art Practice, Cultural Industry Management, and Music Software Engineering. As a multi-level team of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, we have formed a “Creativity–Technology–Execution” collaborative structure. Originating from a course-based project, the team later converged around a shared passion for light and shadow art, actively participating in provincial, national, and international light art competitions and exhibitions. We have presented works at the Lille International Light Art Festival (France) and won the Second Prize in the National College Digital Art Performance Finals, with our projects reaching an audience of over 200,000 people. Our creative processes have been featured by multiple media outlets and public WeChat accounts. Guided by the philosophy of “interpreting light and shadow through the lens of traditional culture, and innovating artistic expression through digital technology,” the team distinguishes itself from commercial studios by emphasizing cultural heritage, youth perspectives, and social engagement. Our projects integrate themes such as “primitive art” and “intangible cultural heritage”, breaking the conventional boundaries of art exhibitions. By combining LED technology, holographic projection, interactive installations, and audiovisual synchronization with traditional forms like painting, sculpture, and narrative art, we create immersive light and shadow experiences that are visually engaging, interactive, experiential, and highly shareable.
