Intro： Markus Kautz, also known as Spirit Society, is a multimedia artist whose work centers on projection art and painting, with a particular focus on merging the two disciplines. As a projection artist and VJ, Spirit Society has brought his visuals to stages across Europe. Immersed in the vibrant stage designs of the psychedelic music scene, he discovered his fascination with expanding art through projected imagery—a passion that has profoundly shaped his artistic path. In recent years, his practice has increasingly evolved toward classical art and cultural events, combining performing arts with projection, and exploring new forms of artistic expression based on artificial intelligence. Through projects with the Technical Museum Vienna, the city of St. Pölten, performances at the Weltmuseum Wien, an augmented reality vernissage, as well as numerous funded art initiatives, Markus Kautz continues to push the boundaries of the digital tools at his disposal.
