Intro: This project is a collaborative work by four Chinese artists from University College London—Alice Wu, Zihang Zou, Azix Ma, and Lucas Ruan. Mentored by the BBC VR team, our practices focus on the intersection of cultural memory and immersive storytelling, using virtual reality to reconstruct overlooked histories and spark reflection on heritage, belonging, and peace. With backgrounds spanning film, spatial narrative, and interactive design, we approach immersive media as a means of reanimating displaced artifacts and their stories. In collaboration with Professor Zhao Muyun from the British Museum, we ground our work in historical accuracy and cultural depth, offering audiences a sensorial journey through the fractured paths of cultural relics.
