Intro： Dirk Rauscher is a digital artist and freelance motion graphics designer. His work ranges between 2D Animation and 3D motion graphics design, show content production and projection mapping. Started as a Photographer and VJ 20 years ago, he has worked for international musicians, labels and festivals as well as for production studios, animation houses and theater stages. Most of his work consists of moving images in space. On house facades, on stages, in theaters, between dancers and music. This includes videos and shows for artists like: Clueso, Tokio Hotel, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Materia, Sarah Connor, David Garrett, Mighty Oaks, Nena. As well as video content and projection mappings for, among others, Moment Factory, Cirque du Soleil, Genius Loci, Burj Kalifia, Illuminale, Digital Marrakech, a/v social London, MuseumQuartier Vienna, Oslo Screen Festival, Tanztheater Erfurt, Melt! Festival, SMS Festival… The fact of being surrounded by musicians as a self-taught artist creates a situation that best describes the interdisciplinary work of Dirk Rauscher. Somewhere between design, art, music, and technology. Dirk's work has been shown and awarded at numerous international festivals and featured on online platforms.
