Intro： Marie Nørgaard Nielsen is a Danish textile artist focusing on large-scale light installations and artpieces with three-dimensional structures. Marie has a background as a fashion designer and throughout her years of designing clothing, she has acquired supirior craftsmanship skills and a keen spatial understanding. With her art, Marie is trying to fill the viewer with a glimpse of our inherent connection to the divine. She excels in the art of transforming textiles from two-dimensional to three-dimensional. In this way, she is inviting viewers to open their minds to dimensions that exist beyond our conventional understanding. Marie was part of Copenhagen Light Festival in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Her light installation “The Oracle” has also been shown at the light festival “Light Art Grindelwald” in Switzerland in 2022 and for the opening show at Copenhagen Fashion Week in 2023.
