Crisscross in the Somnium

Crisscross in the Somnium
‘The Arcadia of Tapirs’ is a dream about oneirology which is accidentally found by Baku's research group when studying the digestive system of dream-eating tapirs. In this broken dream, some other scattered dreams were created and emerged simultaneously. This amazing finding led the team members to take it as a derivative research object and put it into their self-innovated ‘META. RR’ model for cultivation, expression prediction, and analysis based on a simulated ecosystem.
It is interesting that the finding is a journey about revealing dreams. Each clue is merely gateway to the only end, but the mist makes the dreamer detour through various paths, just as those oneirologists study the essence of dream with different methodologies.
The team members also found multiple ‘ultimate answers’ in those seemingly self-consistent clues, which made us question each other about the original purpose of this research. Unfortunately, after many rounds of review and discussion, the research group can only provide an immersive interactive fiction about dreams in the virtual space as the final report. We all agree that it is an accurate answer to the ‘meaning of dream’, by explaining the most ambiguous concept with fables and stories.
Although this is probably just a new hypothesis put forward among many existing hypotheses, it does not matter. The dream itself is the inherent key.
The entire space you would see ahead is an excerpt from our research notes.

a. A New-born Tapir

《The Mural of Edible Dream》
a. A lithography made from a mural found in the membrane of the dream with its edge severely worn out. The origin of the mural is unable to trace at present.
b. A mature tapir is consuming dreams with some isomorphic runes inside and around its body.
c. A strange hourglass shaped installation. There is presumably a device with production and storage functions in the middle. Its products channel into the outer spaces by the hole at the bottom.
