Intro: (Rome, 1954) is a visual artist, composer, percussionist, interpreter of sound and of light. He has taken his work to concert halls, museums, natural environments, places of worship, streets and squares in various countries such as Korea, France, Germany, Japan, India, England, Israel, Spain, the United States, and Switzerland. Pirelli is strongly connected to the relationship between the physicality of the matter and the performative gesture: his works explore water, ice, stone, and metals. In his recent artistic production light, equal to sound, has become central to his artistic research. His site specific installations, both intimate and majestic, often interactive, profoundly mutate the perception of the places that accommodate them: a wide audience is called upon to emerge itself in a new, multisensorial experience.
