Intro: Yu Jiayue Cross-media artist, director, creator and production designer for spatial experimental performances, spatial designer and young curator. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA, UK). She is the co-founder of Rongye Art Studio based in Hangzhou. Yu Jiayue is sensitive to shifts in social and technological environments and their impacts on humanity as a collective. Her current practice centres on narrative creation employing bodily performance, mixed-media installations and spatial environments as integrated mediums. Her output encompasses, but is not limited to, performance art, spatial installation, moving image and textual work, as well as curatorial practice. In 2022, she was selected for *On the Office*, an academic research group initiated by Wang Min’an for the 9th Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (UABB), with research outcomes published in the Biennale’s official publication. In 2023, she received the Tank Curator Award from the Shanghai Curators Lab and curated the exhibition *Unit Folds* at Tank Shanghai. Her works have been exhibited and staged at art venues including Heals Gallery (London), Yue Art Museum (798 Art Zone, Beijing), M50 (Shanghai), Xixi Theatre (Hangzhou), Ren Community Art Museum (Hangzhou), West Bund Museum (Shanghai) and UFO Terminal (Shanghai). Between 2023 and 2024, she was invited to present her solo exhibition **ADVERTISESEVERSE — The Futures We Lost**. Working across multiple identities as artist, curator and director, she achieves cross-media integration spanning performance, installation, spatial design, sound, somatic techniques, moving images and visual texts.
