Intro： I am Jing Yu, a professional stage designer with a Master of Arts in Stage Design from Shanghai Theatre Academy. As a member of the Shanghai Stage Art Association and core designer of GLZ Performing Arts, I have over ten years of professional experience, focusing on innovative stage design for theatrical productions, cultural tourism performances and large-scale public art events. My creative practice covers stage dramas, puppet shows, neo-Chinese dance dramas, immersive light installations and urban cultural tourism performances，including the visual design for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. My works have been shortlisted for the international PQ Quadrennial of Stage Design and awarded Excellent Works Award by the Shanghai Stage Art Exhibition and Outstanding Drama Award by the China National Campus Theatre Festival. My design philosophy centers on integrating traditional Chinese aesthetics with modern digital light and shadow technologies. I skillfully combine physical installation design, dynamic luminous narration and digital pre-visualization to build immersive stage spaces that balance cultural charm and technological innovation. I apply full-process digital pre-visualization to all creative projects. Using professional 3D visualization technology, I pre-simulate stage layouts, lighting hierarchies and particle luminous effects, realizing integrated design of installation structure, scene atmosphere and digital visuals. Supported by the professional team of GLZ Performing Arts, I have undertaken avant-garde visual projects including laser shows and drone light and shadow performances, striving to create high-quality audio-visual works that integrate humanistic artistry and modern technological aesthetics.
