Intro: Rob Loren (Spain) Visual Artist · AV.Studio Founder Based in Oviedo (Spain) and Ibiza Rob Loren is a multidisciplinary visual artist and designer whose practice explores the intersections between light, movement, and memory through videomapping, audiovisual installations, and hybrid digital art. With a background in graphic design and photography, Loren transforms architecture, landscape, and urban spaces into immersive visual experiences where image and sound interact poetically. Founder and creative director of AV.Studio, Loren has developed a distinctive approach that merges artistic vision with technological precision. His videomapping works reinterpret cultural heritage through light — from the Basilica of Covadonga and the University of Oviedo to numerous public façades across Spain. In recent years, his artistic focus has expanded internationally with projects such as: La Mirada Sargantana (Ibiza, 2025) — an environmental installation dedicated to the endangered Pitiusan lizard. Memoria de las Torres (Ibiza, ongoing) — a light-based narrative about the island’s historical watchtowers. Memoria de las Rocas (Scotland, 2026) — an audiovisual exploration of geological and human memory. ANIMAL_IA (2025) — a series of hybrid AI-generated creatures reflecting on the fusion between nature, body, and technology. NBO23 – White Night Oviedo — immersive light installation transforming the Rosaleda landscape into a living architecture. Loren’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, festivals, and cultural programs throughout Spain and Europe. As director of Visiónica, he promotes dialogue between contemporary creation, new media, and experimental sound.
