Yihuang Lu

Intro： 陆亦瑝，出生于苏州，2017年毕业于美国圣路易斯华盛顿大学，获艺术硕士学位。她的作品通常描绘与东方文化相关的抽象形式、物件、回忆，以及所包含的哲学、观念。她选择运用与时间相关的媒介——摄影与视频，来感知世界，主观地解释世界。陆亦瑝试图探究摄影与影像媒介的主观性与超自然性特征，并通过作品展现超越人眼所观察到的现实世界。她的作品展现了她本身以及内心世界。 Yihuang Lu was born in Suzhou, China. She received M.F.A. from the Sam Fox School of Visual Arts of Washington University in St. Louis in 2017. Her work usually depicts abstract forms, objects, and memories related to Eastern culture, its underlying philosophy and ideology. Yihuang chooses time-based media—photography and video—as her way to approach the world, and through which, to interpret the world subjectively. She investigates into the objective and metaphysical nature of photographic/cinematic media and represents something beyond the outside world. That is, her work represents the self and her inner world.
