OPEN CALL MEDIA ART- PANDEMIA
Applications for PANDEMIA are open until July 6, an exhibition of the 2020 edition of The New Art Fest, included in its Maker Art section.
The New Art Fest is an international new media festival, based in Lisbon, focused on reflecting on technological and scientific changes in society and its impact on artistic activity. This year, due to the pandemic, the fourth edition of the festival will take place mostly online.
This call is addressed to artists, collectives or creative platforms, of any nationality, who present works of art or artistic projects in the area of new technological means, with emphasis on those who take on the current civilizational crisis caused by the pandemic COVID-19.
Of all accepted entries, a limited number of artists will be selected for the PANDEMIA exhibition, which will be online from July 29 to September 16, 2020. The artworks on display will automatically be candidates for the “Black Raven Award”.
The artists can apply works of art or new media projects that make use of computer processes, digital technologies or advanced cognitive strategies.
