Intro: Rotor Studio is an artistic research lab founded by Román Torre and Ángeles Angulo. Our practice explores how technologies, imaginaries and environmental transformations shape the way we inhabit the world. Each project begins with several questions and develops through prototypes, installations, devices and experiences that materialize phenomena and ideas that are usually invisible or difficult to experience. Rather than simply communicating concepts, we seek to build them, test them and open up new forms of perception and public conversation. Our work is situated at the intersection of artistic practice, speculative design and digital culture, and is informed by science, environmental conditions and the social contexts that shape the way we live the world. We collaborate with museums, festivals, research centres and cultural institutions to develop projects based on research, experimentation and participation.
