割裂 Severance (live)

我们经常会在街上看见很多同音字替换的广告和宣传标语，这些标语虽然读音都是一样的但是意义是完全不同的，很多同音字的组合会产生很多有意思且幽默的语境。我试着去 把一本美术史的书都转化成了同音字。这样，就会对阅读 出具体的意义产生困难 ，却也因为同音字的组合创造出更多其他的意义。

我用这个合作的程序作品转化了我出生那天的老报纸，选择报纸作为作品的载体，来源于很多人在阅读报纸的同时，会不由自主地读出声音来，给旁边的人听。人们用视觉、听觉、语言对事件做出感受和描述。当把这三种媒介分割开来，我们对事件或事物的认知就会变得困难。读报纸是很日常的一件事，我把报纸上所有的文字替换成了它们的同音字，带着声音巨大的耳机在公共场合朗读一份不可理解的报纸，我听不到我在读什么，我看不懂我在读什么，可是观众可以听懂我所读的内容，一份含义不知所云的报纸、干扰了听觉的耳机，我割裂了我的感官，使他们单独作用，是对个体消解在集体中，但集体总是依赖于个体而存在的最好解释。

We often see a lot of homophones in the street advertising and promotional slogans, which are of same pronunciation but completely different meaning. Many homophones can combine to produce interesting and humorous contexts. I tried to convert a book of fine art into homophones. In this connection, it will be difficult to understand. But the homophone combination created other meanings.

I used this program to transform the old newspaper on my date of birth. I choose the newspaper as the carrier of the work because a lot of people read out the newspaper to others unconsciously. People use the vision, hearing and language to feel and describe of an event. When these three kinds of media are separated, it is difficult for us to understand a thing or events. Reading the newspaper is a daily activity. I replaced all the words in the newspaper with their homophones and then read aloud in public the incomprehensible newspaper with a huge headphone on. I could not hear nor understand what I was reading, but the audience could. A newspaper with unintelligible meaning and a pair of headphones that prevented hearing severed my senses, so that they play roles separately. This is the best explanation of individual resolving in the group, but group relies on individuals to exist.

展出作品时，因为报纸上的字全是以前新闻的同音字，所以本着音同意不同的作用，程序就会自动替换同音字，这是人力所不能控制的，所以就产生了很多关于敏感词汇的同音词。

所以在展览作品出画册的时候审查没有通过，这件事给我的毕业和毕业作品也带来了相当一部分的麻烦，但是这些以外的事情也是作品的一部分，并且正是我作品中探讨的，个体之于集体的关系。我们生活的环境与我们之间的连结与把控，磨合与对立。这次经历无疑使得这个作品更加完整和深刻。

When the works are displayed, as the words on the newspaper are all homophones of the previous news, the program automatically replaces the homonym, which is beyond the human control, so there were a lot of homophones of sensitive political words. For example, "the Communist Party" become a "shovel party".

"People's Daily" will become "Daily Explosion of Kind People", so they album of exhibition works did not pass the political review, which also brought such a trouble for my graduation. But the political topic was also part of my work, and it is about the relationship between individual and group that has been discussed in my work. And I explore the connection and control, the running-in and opposition between our living environment and us. This experience made this project more complete and profound.
