What is the relationship between rationality and emotion? between an intuitive choice and a considered decision? Are they conflicting or corporative? From an initial feeling to a deliberate plan, are our decisions produced through collaboration or compromise?

A scientific principle can be proved by concrete evidence, but emotion is more abstract and may happen in any second, does that mean instantaneous emotion should be compromised when people are making decisions?

In this installation, tentacles follow viewers, and once people stop moving, the tentacles start to wobble and scratch. Artificial tentacles therefore become an aggressive creature, a trembling vine.

I built a tracking system, representing how rationality and emotion are always embodied. They are meant to be awakened in this installation.

感性和理性是什么关系？一个直觉的选择和一个谨慎的决定之间又是怎样关联的？他们是相互冲突的还是相互协作？从一个最初的感觉到一个周全的计划，我们的决定是通过感性和理性的合作完成的，还是妥协？
一个科学原理可以被具体的证据所证实，但是情绪更加抽象，并且有可能在任何一秒产生。当我们做决定的时候，这是不是就意味着瞬间性的情感应当作出妥协和让步？
在这个装置作品里，触角跟随观众，当观众停止脚步，他们就会开始抽搐、抓挠。人工的机械触手即变成了一个侵略的生物，或一个颤动的枝蔓。我创造了一个追踪位置的系统，展示感性思维和理性思维是怎样一直嵌在我们的身体里的。感性和理性的关联与牵涉即被唤醒。
