Dust Structure is an immersive video work set in an abandoned virtual laboratory in the future. Focusing on the decline of digital systems and the revival of organic life, the work presents a contradictory and poetic visual narrative. Based on a four-fold CAVE immersive space, it realizes continuous cross-screen storytelling. By using flowing symbols, glitch noise and stroboscopic effects, the work simulates the chaotic state of consciousness after the collapse of digital civilization and reflects the relationship between humans and the virtual world.
The virtual scene is built in TouchDesigner with real-time audio-visual interaction at the opening, allowing audio signals to drive visual changes and enhance immersion. Multiple AIGC tools are used for 3D modeling and visual reference exploration. All AI-generated materials serve only as creative foundations and are completely reconstructed, adjusted and recreated manually to ensure originality and complete narrative logic.
With a total duration of 96 seconds, the work supports both four-screen immersive display and ultra-wide single-screen preview. From a cyber-ruin aesthetic perspective, the work reflects on the iteration and fading of digital civilization, and explores the future coexistence of technological order and organic life.
