Jiangnan Algorithm · Breathing takes Song-dynasty ink landscape painting as its visual foundation and blends traditional Chinese brushwork with contemporary elements such as digital particles, tidal curves, and geographic coordinates. Centered on the idea of “breathing,” the work allows mountains and mist to continuously emerge, dissolve, and regenerate through the gathering, dispersing, and flickering of particles. Drawing on the aesthetics of negative space and the subtle tonal gradations of ink, the piece explores the relationship between nature, data, and algorithms, creating a digital landscape that feels both rooted in classical Chinese aesthetics and oriented toward the future.
