From December 17 to 18, 2025, the “Science and Technology in the Era of Global Governance – 2025 International Forum on Science and Technology in Art Education” was held at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. This forum was guided by the International Exchange Department of the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission and organized by Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, with the Experimental Art College and the International Exchange Department acting as co-organizers. The forum brought together more than 30 experts, scholars, and young talents from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Italy, Australia, and 23 top art institutions in China. Focused on the broader context of global governance, the forum aimed to break through the barriers of individual disciplines and recalibrate the value axis of science and technology in art education. The forum centered on the overarching theme of “Science and Technology in the Age of Global Governance,” marking a deepening and extension of the efforts by the Science and Art Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts to build an international academic network since 2020. The forum featured four academic sections: “The Societal Shift of Science and Art,” “The Ethical Boundaries of Science and Art,” “The Challenges of International Cooperation in Science and Art Education,” and “The Current State and Prospects of Science and Art Specializations in Fine Arts Institutions.” A special module, “The Flow of Science and Art,” was also introduced for young scholars worldwide.
