Centered on orcas, this creation explores the true essence of marine life. As spirits of the deep ocean, orcas are creatures with complex emotions and free spirits. Yet confined for human performances, they are forced to betray their natural instincts, repeating mechanical movements within tiny pools.
By deliberately depicting performance scenes and highlighting their innate agility, the work aims to make audiences aware of the plight of captive orcas. Denied the chance to roam the vast ocean and follow tribal instincts, they are trapped and tamed instead.
This piece calls for breaking the cold chains of entertainment, returning the boundless ocean to orcas, and letting freedom define their natural existence. It seeks to protect the unique wildness and dignity of these deep-sea spirits.
