MAPPING
projection mapping
Reverse Zoo is a large-scale projection mapping work that transforms the façade of DEPO2015 in Plzeň into a surreal environment where the roles of humans and animals are reversed.

The narrative unfolds through a sequence of visual transformations, beginning with microscopic life—ants moving across an abstract surface that gradually reveals itself as the skin of a giant elephant. As the architecture emerges, the building becomes a cage, containing the elephant while humans observe from within the windows.

When the elephant breaks free into the urban space, the order collapses. A small bird appears and lifts the elephant into the sky, transforming it into a constellation. From this celestial space, a bear is brought back into the city, while humans remain confined inside illuminated windows, echoing the conditions of animals in captivity.

By reversing the positions of observer and observed, Reverse Zoo invites reflection on the relationship between humans, animals, and the environments we construct.
