This installation is inspired by the 'infinite loop' of the Möbius strip and the 'persistence of vision' principle of the zoetrope, constructing an interactive system where the body, time, and space are intertwined.

Audiences drive the dynamic changes of the entire installation through the repetitive physical movements on the treadmill, metaphorically representing contemporary people’s pursuit of self-meaning in the day-to-day cycle — every seemingly repetitive step is actually reconstructing the trajectory of time and space. We ask: when a fleeting action triggers an eternal loop, does the moment thereby gain immortality?

The structure has three layers of narrative: the infinite loop of the Möbius strip, the persistence-of-vision effect of the zoetrope, and the repetitive motion cycle of the treadmill. These three layers stacked together metaphorically reflect the daily efforts of modern individuals.

Installation structure: The entire device is connected from top to bottom using steel wire, fishing line, and acrylic.

Interaction method: Audiences enter the installation and step on the treadmill. By analyzing the frequency of their steps (frequency sensors, WiFi sensors), the first part — the Möbius strip — rotates, the track lighting on the Möbius strip changes in color and brightness, and the zoetrope’s rotation speed is adjusted. Core experience: while stepping, audiences witness how their own actions 'illuminate' the loop — a Kafkaesque poetry: we are both prisoners of the cycle and its creators. When the audience stops moving, they become observers, watching others repeat the same process, completing the transition from 'participant' to 'reflective observer.'
