Even after the flames of the millennium-old kilns have died out, the lingering warmth of the Yaozhou porcelain has been reawakened in sound.
This is a dialogue of vocal patterns spanning thousands of years. We use digital technology as our pen, bringing to life the vine patterns on a Northern Song Dynasty celadon-glazed incised bowl, the peony motifs on a Five Dynasties tripod-handled inverted pot, the cloud-like movements of the fairness cup, and the elegant radiance of a double-eared bottle. Every incision holds the breath of the craftsmen, every shade of glaze carries the echoes of a flourishing era. When the life of the objects resonates with sound, we finally hear the most captivating whispers of the Yaozhou kiln.
“Listen to Porcelain” is not just about witnessing the beauty of millennium-old blue porcelain; it’s also about hearing the Eastern aesthetics and life wisdom embedded within the artifacts.
