The 29th Changchun Ice and Snow Festival Opening Ceremony and "Changchun Ice and Snow Night," hosted by Changchun Ice and Snow World, supported by the Changchun Cultural Tourism Group, and produced by Hunan TV and Mango TV, was broadcast live on both platforms' new media channels. COOBBY crafted a series of MAPPING light and shadow shows, integrating technology and art to comprehensively showcase Changchun's city charm and cultural heritage.
In this creative endeavor, COOBBY innovatively used digital technology to reinterpret traditional intangible cultural heritage and folk elements such as Changchun's paper-cutting art, Errenzhuan folk dance, Mahu masks, and cloth tiger toys. They connected landmarks including Nanhu Park's birch forest, Nanhu Park itself, Changchun Film Studio, Changchun Ice and Snow World, and Jingyue Pond, weaving together a winter festival that blends cultural depth with creative tension and highlighting the diverse possibilities of Changchun's "Ice and Snow +" model.
