Beginning with the early development of poetry in the Early Tang, progressing to its peak in the High Tang period, and following its diverse evolution through the Middle and Late Tang, the piece depicts the grand scale of the Tang literary world. Pastoral poems of serene beauty contrast with the bold magnificence of frontier poetry, while the likenesses and timeless verses of poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu, and Wang Wei guide audiences through a poetic journey of the Tang era.
The show blends dynamic typography, imagery, and lighting effects to highlight the unique elegance of Tang poetry, enhancing the immersive experience through visual and auditory interplay. The piece concludes with the successful publication of the Complete Tang Poems and Emperor Kangxi’s high praise, symbolizing the profound influence and enduring legacy of Tang poetry in Chinese civilization.
