《青影抚金》 Original

From January 25th to April 23rd, 2024, the first season of the "The Awakening Civilization" art exhibition series was held on the 4th floor of Shanghai Global Harbor, continuously bringing the shock of the ancient Shu civilization to the visitors. Among them, the light and shadow work "The Reflection of Bronze and the Glimmer of Gold" painstakingly created by our Mackere1-Lab studio connects the past and the present through a three-act narrative that unfolds progressively.

In the first two acts, with an artistic expression technique, the classic cultural relic images from Sanxingdui and the grand scenes of sacrificial ceremonies are combined with theatrical interpretations, narrating the ancient Shu civilization jointly composed by humans and gods.

The third act is entirely from the aesthetic perspective of modern vision. Combining the ideological concept of "Only splendor can emphasize dignity" and the belief system of "colossal object worship" which was prevalent among early humans, through the three themes of "flowing", "shattering" and "devouring", it deconstructs modernly the cultural relics such as the bronze masks and statues from Sanxingdui, and expresses the concepts. In this way, the creative light of the ancient Shu civilization, through the magnificent and fantastical light and shadow exhibition, brings more inspiration and contemplation to modern civilization and art.
