Ke Peng is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges audiovisual installations, multimedia experiences, live performances, and sound art. Rooted in the intersections of art and science, her work poetically examines the intricate relationships between matter, sound, and light.
Drawing from philosophical frameworks such as new materialism and chaos theory, Ke creates immersive sensory experiences that illuminate the hidden patterns and movements of the world around us. Ke's work explores the vitality of materials, uncovering the dynamic interplay of materiality, motion, vibration, and light.
Through projects such as Evolution, Material Topology, and Oceanosmos, she integrates art and science to challenge perceptions of reality, blur the boundaries between the physical and digital, and foster reflections on humanity's interconnectedness with other forms of agency.
Ke has exhibited and performed internationally at esteemed venues and events, including the V&A Museum (UK), Centre Pompidou IRCAM Forum (FR), Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (CN), Society of Arts and Technology (CA), London Design Festival (UK), IKLECTIK Artlab (UK), OXO Tower (UK), Morley Gallery (UK), Slash Arts Gallery (UK), Crypt Gallery (UK), Cromwell Place (UK), Media Art Nexus (SG), and Shanghai West Bund Museum (CN).
In addition to her individual practice, Ke is a highly collaborative artist, contributing her expertise in stage installations, projection mapping, and generative art to experimental theatre and performance productions. Notable collaborations include Boundaries at the Shanghai International Dance Center, Bound/Unbound at LSO St. Luke’s with Tangram and the London Symphony Orchestra, the upcoming Dance Theatre Emptiness at Dance City Newcastle in March 2025, and Multimedia Theatre Humans at the Southbank Centre in June 2025.
