🕊️🐟Genuary 2024, Day 19: "Flocking"!
"Flocking" is a technique used to simulate the collective behavior of large groups of organisms, such as birds or fish, and is widely applied in computer science and artificial intelligence. This technique can create natural-looking group movement effects, such as flocks of birds flying in the air or schools of fish swimming in water.
Flocking behavior is typically based on three fundamental principles, which were introduced by Craig Reynolds in 1986 and are known as the Boids model: separation, alignment, and cohesion.
Genuary 2024 is a global creative coding challenge held every January, aiming to encourage creation through code and algorithmic art. A new theme is released each day, and participants are free to interpret it in any style or form they wish.
