Dinosaur fossils are a multi-temporal superimposed mystery, layer by layer covered black box, under the entanglement of global culture and technology, the restoration of fossils will naturally become a projection of their own perspective. In the face of a solid material archive, can we still see it as an unfinished life, an escape from Jurassic Park, an escape from a single linear development of the future imagination, archaeology in the deep time of the dead medium?
The seven screens set vertically are like geological layers stacked on top of each other, with the middle screen acting as a horizon of the Anthropocene, trying to cut through the hard geological surface to create an image show of the world above and below. The content takes the restoration of the fossil bones of dinosaur named Xingxiulong chengi as the narrative starting point, and divides the image creation into three chapters: “Skull Splicing and Plate Drift”“Skull Collapse and Space-time Compression” and “Skull Burial and Information Archiving”. In the process of archeological images, we can watch the stagnant stratigraphic files begin to flow, fossils and other wastes are reborn, and buried information and materials are re-imagined...
