During the 2020 Chongqing Nightlife Festival, we transformed Jiefangbei in Chongqing's central Yuzhong District into a stunning cyberpunk-inspired Mapping light show titled "Cyber Chongqing." This masterpiece fused Chongqing’s iconic cultural elements with futuristic technology, creating a breathtaking visual and sensory experience. We incorporated quintessential Chongqing motifs such as the metro passing through buildings, the unique mountainous architecture, and the winding Yangtze River, all brought to life through cutting-edge light and animation techniques. Our creation not only highlighted the rich historical and cultural heritage of Chongqing but also conveyed the city's boundless energy and innovative spirit through modern artistic expressions. In the flowing lights and shadows, the audience could feel the unique charm of this mountainous city, as if immersed in a fantastical metropolis where the future and reality intertwine. Our aim was to rekindle a love and appreciation for Chongqing culture, making this artwork a highlight of the festival and further enriching Chongqing's urban image and cultural identity.
