Zygmunt Bauman used "LIQUID MODERNITY" to describe the social form of modernity in its later stages of development. He believes that modern society has transformed from a solid, heavy, well-defined solid state to a fluid, light, and varied liquid state. At the same time, time has become the most important factor in measuring wisdom and ability. People's way of thinking has become "fragmented" and their behavior has become "irregular."

Time perception:
People's pursuit of instantaneity and speed has replaced the expectation of continuity and durability. "Fast" has become a feature of the times, and "speed" has become people's ultimate goal.

Nomadism:
Nomadic elites control fixed groups of people. Nomadism has no center or fixed residence. "Mobility" has become a new tool of power, and mobility and speed have become the decisive factors in social stratification.

Fragile relationship:
Individuals are liberated from long-term and stable communities, social status continues to flow, multiple identities switch rapidly, intimate relationships are fragile and fragile, and personal uncertainty deepens.

I think the “LIQUID MODERNITY” described by Zygmunt Bauman perfectly explains the current psychology and living conditions of young people in various countries, whether they are pessimistic, optimistic, fickle, fragile, fast, etc.

I tried to create an abstract visual animation of liquid society. The richness of fast-paced music and images reflects "fragmentation" and "irregularity", immersing the audience in the rapid switching of music and images, and expressing the concept of Soft Values in a Digital Age.
