Fashion Film
The concept inspired by Borges' interpretation of "infinity", combined with the human original emotions of "unknown”,the video presents a atmosphere of surreal mystic.
The design of the installation is inspired by Rodin's sculptures, which destroyed and reconstructed the human skin texture obtained by 3D scanning technology. It symbolizes the crowd in hell on Rodin’s sculpture. It also explores the relationship between human body, identity and space.
In addition, it is also a kind of conjecture about the future form of virtual religion. The upper part of the human body prays to its lower body, and extends infinitely from the gates to the distance. The gates with symbol “Tree of Kabala" is a metaphor for eternal truth in the video. Humans fall into infinity, but demon sacrificed its heart. Penetrate and blur the boundary between good and evil. Getting rid of infinity and transcending good and evil is this proposition.
This fashion film uses unconventional vertical screen composition and works with fashion designer Jingmang Ke to deconstruct the fashion language and reproduce it in audio-visual language. Garments wakes up the body and carries the shape and spirit of the body. Models wearing garments by 3D scanning to break the boundary between real and virtual, and let the audience experience the infinite space full of emotional tension.
