Design overview:
Starting from Lovecraft's cosmic aesthetics, "Saturn Remains" rediscovers the concept of growth and evolution, and creates a virtual environment shaped by giant structures and alien shapes through complex parametric processes. At the moment when metaverse and virtual space are popular, the project takes some kind of fictitious dominant force of de-anthropocentrism as the starting point and driving force of the design, and establishes a generative algorithm-based, composed of multiple highly organic landscapes. The virtual world composed of units aims to explore the possibility of generative virtual objects establishing meta-narratives and infinite paradigms under the field conditions of the meta-universe through roaming fragments.
At the same time, the project combines the virtual reality game development process to present the world to the audience in a concrete way, and can experience the "environment" in the virtual space. Combined with additive manufacturing technology, the digital generation is transformed into a model entity and a derivative product.
