In general, visual perception is a product of filtering and reducing data, which allows us to paint a clear picture of our environment. The visual information obtained by different animals is also different. For example, the scene seen by the compound eyes of a dragonfly is like a mosaic. Therefore, I started from the vision of insects, combined natural objects and machinery, and simulated the scene seen by the eyes of dragonflies, hoping to observe the world more comprehensively.
Dragonfly has spiritual meaning in animal totem, that is the power, energy and vibration of color. The color corresponds to the color that is difficult for people to catch in the eyes of dragonflies, that is, the laser light emitted from the device. The energy and vibration represent the vibration of the dragonfly when it moves, corresponding to the "eyes" controlled by the constantly rotating and vibrating bearings in the device. When it senses that someone is approaching and distinguishes the change of light and shadow, the dragonfly flaps its wings. But as the distance gets smaller and smaller, the quantitative change will change qualitatively, the light will turn on, and the laser light will be generated, blooming a new life force.
