MBRAVO_TIMELESS_CHINALIGHT 2 Original

I am a multi-disciplinary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia. After studying fashion design in Rome & Paris and photography in London and NYC, settling there to pursue a career in the arts. In 2020 I moved to Miami Beach, where I continue to enjoy directing and producing diverse projects, from complex multimedia installations and public art commissions to artists’ books and ‘textile-objekts’.

¨Timeless remix¨ is a painterly animation in which flowing imagery weaves itself into colorful sequences, as pulsating images from google earth blink as a subliminal experience immersing the viewer in the artwork. Inviting them into a hyper-sensorial experience induced by color, texture, pace, and abstract forms. The multiplicity of colors, shapes and vibrating frequencies in the piece evoked a physiological response and awakening of the senses.

My intense curiosity feeds not only my active professional practice as an artist, but also my empirical, integral approach to life, supported by studying and practicing one-on-one with teachers on Eastern, ancestral, and cosmological traditions as well as psychological self-inquiry. My philosophy compels me to infuse life with aspiration, to integrate intention with attention and non-rational and rational types of consciousness.

For many years I have dedicated myself to studying the holistic and integral traditions of China, such as all the practices that integrate the Taoist cosmology, as the unity of all elements is essential to my work. I perceive sensations, emotions, the body, the mind, and knowledge, all to be part of the same fabric of life and as such cannot be separated.

In this animation also, all shapes overflow into the next, creating a new level of awareness that awakens curiosity and mesmerization in the viewer.
