**Introduction**

From January 1 to March 27, 2022, Pang Maokun's "Replica 2020" series was prominently showcased at the Long Museum Chongqing. The digital art piece "The Great Era" custom-created by SKG+ for this exhibition, was a highlight. To ensure the final work aligned with Pang Maokun's paintings, we engaged in multiple discussions and collaborations. At the end of the exhibition hall, Pang Maokun's sculptures, illuminated by 12 projectors, created a surreal space where poetic imagery and technological consciousness merged. This marked Pang Maokun's first venture into digital art, extending his unique design language into this new medium.

**Artistic Concept**

"The Great Era" explores four relationships: the future and the present, technology and art, humans and architectural scenes, and the virtual and the real. The work repeatedly deconstructs and reconstructs Pang Maokun's "Replica" series, symbolizing the evolution of eras, the renewal of ideas, and the expression and restraint of desires. The visuals guide the audience through a narrative that intertwines the tangible and the virtual, conveying a sense of spatial disorientation. Particles and noise patterns sweep across the screen, with colors and light intensities constantly shifting. The core idea is "Beauty in Technology," emphasizing that science, in its quest to reveal the essence of the universe and nature in the simplest ways, inherently possesses beauty. In today's fast-paced technological era, art and cold digital codes are no longer strangers, as many artists use computer languages to create dreamlike realities.

**Creation Process**

During the creation phase, the artwork needed to immerse the surrounding sculptures in their original lighting environment. Thus, the overall tone of the piece is dark with selective highlights and even fluorescent tones, creating a strong atmosphere and focal points. Blue and green dominate the color palette, reflecting a sense of technological warmth. Key elements like AI robots, drones, mechanical arms, and wires form the underlying structure of the artwork, continually deconstructing, recombining, and colliding under different gravitational or anti-gravitational forces. In the music composition, the focus is on evoking the tranquility of nature or the vastness of the cosmos, soothing the listener's soul and conveying the freedom brought by the great era. The music incorporates elements such as morning dew, forest birdsong, and sacred chants, adding depth and tension to create a harmonious immersive experience with both sound and visuals.
