Design Notes:

The intangible cultural heritage activities in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province climbed the knife ladder, expressing the national cohesion and courage to move forward, despite the hardships and dangers of adventurous and challenging spirit. There is a mountain of swords on the top, and a sea of ​​fire below, struggling to face the difficulties. We took the spirit of climbing the ladder as the starting point, used parametric analysis to solve problems, incorporated modern sports factors, and combined the passion of young people and the courage to challenge themselves to create a parkour sports venue with the theme of the sword mountain and the sea.

Concept of design:

As a unique traditional custom in the Lingnan area, villages and towns in some places organize young and middle-aged people to climb the ladder together during the Lantern Festival. The knife ladder, as the name suggests, consists of an 18-meter-high ladder, 36 steel knives with upward blades (72 in a special year), forming a step. This activity embodies the wisdom and bravery of people. In order to highlight the dangers and challenges of the knife ladder, we parametrically derived the knife mountain, and used fire as the sword posture and the knife as the fire quality to construct a "knife mountain and sea of ​​fire". From this we think of parkour. The passion of its fans for parkour and the courage to challenge themselves reflects the adventurous and challenging spirit and eternal vitality of the Chinese people.
