时间塔

As an integral design combining 28 projection screens in a complex structure, the Tower is a "light architecture" that employs information flow to generate sensational flux that transforms space, projection, performance and structure. With light and projection as the creative idea, the architecture becomes the form of time. The Tower of Time delivers a multi-media expression that combines various traditional Chinese building types, such as pavilion, terrace, tower, and attics (亭，台，楼，阁), etc. It also functions as a comprehensive stage for operatic performance and art exhibitions. The idea of the Time Tower comes from the long poem of artist Bingyi in 2019. The building was designed by architect Zhu Xiaodi. The Time Tower incorporates multiple layers of swirling disks and screens to present a mysterious spatial relationship between projection and viewing. It transforms a physical structure into an abstract spatial experience. During the day it can be seen as a white pavilion soaring into the sky; at night it is a magical stage that generates mesmerizing images and sensations. At any given time, the tower guides the audience to gaze into the sky to experience sublime time and space. The light architecture can appear to be a building that cascades with rivers and oceans, or a tower that weeps and blossoms.
