The original intention of the concept of "ROOM2" is to think about exploring the present and future, and improving the way of "cooperation" and "communication" in the new media society. The internal components of "room2" include two MIDI keyboards, two models with "gramophone" shell modeling and several electronic tube televisions. They represent the symbol of the development from the old media to today's media era. The work combines the two perceptual ways of "vision" and "hearing", and works in the way of "audio-visual interaction" + "cooperation": when the participants are in their own enclosed space, they can't follow the experiential "trigger" to get the real-time feedback of sound, but only when they see the "image" triggered by MIDI signal in the opposite TV in the glass, they can feel it The existence of interactive process (referring to Baudrillard's "simulacrum" theory, the unreliable implication of obtaining experience through new media). Then when the participants on the opposite side of the glass also trigger the button, the two sides will understand the working mode of the "Rom2" device system (that is, to achieve the two-way transmission of audio-visual information through cooperation). At the same time, the image is placed behind each experiencer, and they can only watch in the way of "turning back" every time (suggesting that people are used to building cognitive instinct from subjective experience, because the experiencer will always see the image content triggered by the glass opposite to themselves in the first time, and it is difficult to pay attention to the impact brought by the other's behavior). On the other hand, the sound produced by the phonograph is the opposite (this delay process brings a sense of hindrance of interactive feedback to the experimenter, and also reflects on the twists and turns of cognitive construction).
