Radiant Field Original

"Radiant Field" is a new media and light art installation that studies the link between the body and the space that contains it, making use of physical materials along with light and interactive digital technologies to create an immersive and sensitive three-dimensional abstract landscape presence of people. The work is a virtual organism in constant movement and is inspired by the landscapes and natural ecosystems of southern Chile, forming a horizon of light whose topography and density are transformed in reaction to the transit and movement of the bodies under it. In this way, it gives the space new expressive qualities through light, shape and color. The layout consists of a set of translucent fabric screens suspended from the sky of the room, on which digitally generated luminous images are projected. These images respond to the shape and movements of the human body through motion sensors. The use of digital and optical lighting techniques together with sound make the work a multi-sensory, interactive and dreamlike experience.
