"frost frames" by Shiro Takatani Original

This steel framed 2.7m square frosted glass screen represents like as a focus glass of a large format camera. 1,000 digital photo images of daily landscapes are projected at a high speed (1/30 - 1/75 second) on the screen from both sides. Two fast moving streams of images are contrasted on opposite sides of the screen. When the visitors cross the image beam, they will not see their own shadow on the screen, but those of the other visitors. Sound material: Ryoji Ikeda © Shiro Takatani, 1998
