Permanent Constellations for Polluted Skies (project)

We are widening and consolidating the idea we had last year to hoist ephimeral artificial constellations for polluted cities where stars cannot be seen in their firmament.

Following up on this subject, we have considered making this piece more stable and lasting by enterning the world of Christmas lights which we normally find quite appalling.

We want to create an artificial starry firmament for polluted cities by embedding it in a street which we will fill with low-cost constellations (compared with the lavish power consumption and light bulb running costs attached to traditional Christmas lights used in such cities as Madrid).

People will relish, as they walk, the view of their favorite constellations and will also discover many others that are less known.

The entire piece will be set up on springs so the beat of the city will lend it movement and make the light of the stars vibrate.

We hope to see it soon in one of our many polluted cities…
