What's going on in this exhibition?

How do we engage with artistic research?

And what exactly is artistic research?

We're hosting weekly "open house" sessions to welcome new (and old) visitors to approach these questions with the help of ICA hosts. These tours are not intended to explain the exhibition and related programs in their entirety, rather ICA hosts will offer a welcoming introduction and potential methods of engagement to help visitors orient themselves, ask their own questions, and relate to their own experiences.

Starting from April 16th, ICA hosts will facilitate 3–5 open house sessions each week, in conjunction with the exhibition École du soir. English language open houses will take place on Wednesdays (13:00) and some Saturdays (14:00, when public programs are not scheduled). Chinese language open houses will take place on Tuesdays (13:00), Fridays (17:00), and some Saturdays (13:00).

Open to the public.

No registration required.

If you have any questions, please contact shanghai.ica@nyu.edu / 021 2059 5809.

The exhibition École du soir and related events are presented as the fourth season of the ICA’s second artistic research program, Another Knowledge Is Possible (2021-24), exploring neglected and repressed ways of knowing and the complex politics of knowledge decolonization.
