Ioannis (John) Bardakos是一位艺术家、学者和研究者。他出生于希腊雅典，在希腊、西班牙和巴黎学习数学和艺术。John Bardakos拥有20年的新媒体和实验媒体相关活动经验，担任艺术家总监和制作人。目前，他是德稻大师学院和上海视觉艺术学院的罗伊·阿斯科特技术艺术工作室提供的技术艺术学士学位的项目总监和高级讲师。他的研究和艺术实践是在艺术、数学和哲学之间的空间。John是雅典美术学院（超媒体实验室）和巴黎第八大学（Edesta）之间的一名博士研究生。

Ioannis (John) Bardakos is an artist an academic and a researcher. He was born in Athens, Greece, studied Mathematics and Arts in Greece, Spain and Paris. John Bardakos has a 20 year experience with new and experimental media related activities as and artist director and producer. He is currently the program director and a senior lecturer in the BA of Technoetic Arts provided by DeTao Masters Academy and the Roy Ascott Technoetic Arts Studio for the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. His research and art practice lies in the space between Art, Mathematics and Philosophy. John is a PhD candidate between the Athens School of Fine Arts (HyperMedia Lab) and the Paris 8 University, (EDESTA) in the INREV Laboratory.

本课程是对形成控制论学科的思想的介绍，该学科的重点是系统和过程的构建、描述和分析。

控制论的概念出现在40年代，虽然类似的想法是众所周知的，这种研究系统中的信息流的方法学早就开始了。

我们可以把控制论描述成一个探索恒定流动过程的元系统。

目标、反馈、循环、信息、交流等术语不断地从控制论的思想中出现，对于任何与新媒体艺术相关的理论或实践探索都极其重要。

Cybernetics as a framework connecting ideas forms and processes.

This lecture is an introduction to the ideas that formed the discipline of Cybernetics which focuses in the construction, description and analysis of systems and processes.

The concept of Cybernetics emerged in the 40`s although similar ideas were quite known and the methodology of such a research on the information flow in systems started much earlier.

We could describe Cybernetics as a meta-system for exploring processes that are in a constant flow. 

Terms like goal, feedback, loops, information, communication are constantly emerging from the ideas of Cybernetics and prove extremely important for any theoretical or practical exploration in all the domains related with new media arts.
